Our first contact was to repair a small problem with glasses supplied by a large chain of opticians.  This was carried out in a very efficient and gracious manner.  The same applied to our grandson, visiting from England, where he had a similar problem.  This therefore led us to being regular and very satisfied customers.

A working and understandable relationship can be built up when dealing with the same person on each visit.  This enables any potential sight problems to be diagnosed and treated appropriately.

There is a wide range of glasses frames to chose from and knowledgeable and well trained staff to help make the right choice.

I like that Taylor & Toal Opticians an independent practice, and you always get to see the owner, Gary when you attend and not someone you don’t know or have never met before.  I value the friendship and rapport I have built up with Gary since he opened his practice in Antrim.  It is always a pleasure to call in with him and his staff.

I love my recent glasses, the blue colour of the frame is a little funky, but not too whacky for a vicar.  It is very pleasant to receive positive comments about the frames and many people have also made comments about my photos.

This is the best optician that I have ever been to and I have been to opticians on both sides of the Atlantic. I purchased two pairs of glasses and the fit and quality is outstanding. The service is even more outstanding-it was raining and they were kind enough to even give me an umbrella to ensure I did not get soaked going home! They provided updates on all stages of my glasses being made and let me know when they were ready by text and provided a proper fitting when I picked them up. It was my first time using Taylor & Toal Opticians and the service was excellent from start to finish. From the eye examination to the selecting of the frames the way I was treated was first class. Paid my first visit to Gary and Emma a couple of weeks ago as I had quite a lot of blood around an eye. So decided to give Taylor & Toal a try as my last Pair were from Specsavers and I didn’t really wear them as often as I should have. (cheap isn’t really the best). After an eye test Gary put me well at ease. A follow up appointment was made, and after discussing my lack of use of varifocals. Gary suggested that reading glasses would be more suitable for my needs.
Emma helped to pick a suitable frame. Now in less than a week I am wearing my new glasses.
Gary could easily have persuaded me to go along the Varifocal route. I came away pleased with the service and lack of pushy sales talk.
