Eye Test From An Expert At Taylor & Toal

Your sight is your most precious sense & deserves the highest standards of care.

At Taylor & Toal Opticians your eye examination will be carried out by an experienced optometrist. Many of our clients are professionals or retired professionals themselves and they choose Taylor & Toal Opticians because they want to see an expert. They want to see someone who they have confidence in and who will get it right.

The reason we allow 60 minutes is not for the technical aspects of conducting an eye exam, you can do an eye examination in 25 minutes or less and that may be your past experience with other opticians

The extra time we set aside is for us to get to know you as an individual, how you use your spectacles, what type of work you do etc. You will then get effective advice and recommendations tailored to your unique needs.

After your examination, should you require spectacles, our Eyewear Consultants will be able to provide you with all the assistance you could possibly need. We will advise you on the best spectacle lens for your needs and help you choose the perfect pair of glasses.

We, as a family, have been using Taylor & Toal for a few years now. Gary is very thorough and the girls are great at helping choose frames. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. In fact, my daughter had a migraine recently and couldn’t see. Gary very quickly fitted her in to check everything was ok. Furthermore, he called me on the Saturday morning to check on her progress. That type of service and care is exceptional, I’d say you’d struggle to find that from a chain!

I had a relapse in health and couldn’t take time of work, I was given an emergency appointment and Gary spent time with me to make sure we could find a solution to the problem, 2 days later I had that solution.... very professional and efficient whilst being friendly and welcoming.

Myself and my 14 year old son have been with Taylor and toal a few years now! Gary is a fab optician! More than helpful, even my 3 year old loved gettin her eyes tested by him on my last check up though she wasn't 2 keen on the drops lol but still left wi a smile on her face (even though she wanted glasses n didn't need them) xx

Excellent Opician and very friendly service. I think we all need to be more aware that Opticians are not only for routine eye tests but offer a vital service for any eye issues. They should be your first port of call with eye infections/problems as they actually look into your eyes and diagnose what is going on!! I struggled for a week before seeing Mr Toal, he straight away diagnosed Iritis and sent me to Royal Eye Clinic for treatment. Can’t thank him enough.
